Senior Energy Consultant
Salary:
Competitive salary plus annual performance bonus and car allowance
Location:
Home based with travel to sites across the UK
Hours:
Full time, 40 hours per week

What you'll be doing;
Supporting new project development
Support the development of new energy projects, the optimisation of existing contracts and lead the delivery of decarbonisation surveys and energy audits by:
Identifying and quantifying potential energy savings and expected performance of energy / HVAC systems, incl. site surveys and modelling.
Contributing to and/or own the bidding financial models (from several £100k’ and up to several £10m’)
Contributing to bid winning strategies
Supporting contract negotiation on the aspects of guaranteed performances and Measurement & Verification (M&V)
Supporting grant application processes
Contribute to identify, quantify and mitigate the performance risk on new projects and existing contracts, and support the internal governance.
Continuously improve existing technical and commercial modelling tools and develop new models for emerging technologies.
Data analysis & improvement identification
Support our Operations teams identifying variations in technical KPIs actual vs target, and investigate root cause
Identify improvement opportunities, through data analysis, desktop surveys and site audits
Develop action plans.
Benchmark performance of sites utilising standards and best practices & report/ take action on findings
Driving Innovation
Lead technology watch
Evaluate viability and potential business models for emerging technologies in the fields of energy and decarbonisation
What we're looking for;
Relevant experience in the energy or building services sector
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets
Energy modelling experience
A degree in mechanical engineering or similar subject
Technical knowledge of building and industrial energy systems: HVAC, steam, hot water, CHP, heat pumps, chilled water, district energy, building services, hydraulics
Experience in decarbonisation and/or energy savings schemes
Understanding of energy markets
