Role: Software Engineer
Location: Bath, Somerset
Salary: £ competitive
Hybrid working: 3x office days and 2x days working from Home.
The Role:
Full life cycle software engineering
Requirement elicitation, high level design, development, test documentation.
Maintenance and enhancement of existing products including direct 3rd line support for client’s engineers and technicians and Field Service Engineers.
Development of new products.
Software build management.
Supervision of Junior Software Engineers.
Essential skills:
Broad software development experience. real time processes, database
C++/C,
Linux or Windows development environment – inter process comms – RPM/Installer
TCP, Serial comms.
Desirable skills:
Embedded, 32-bit microcontroller, ARM, PIC.
GUI development.
Java, Python,
PHP, SQL, BASH, HTML.
Subversion.
PostgreSQL/SQLite
Eclipse, Visual Studio
Autotools.
I2C, One Wire comms, PCI Bus.
