This position aligns seamlessly with our Maritime communication endeavours, encompassing both domestic (UK/NATO) and international contexts, and covering existing capabilities as well as those anticipated in the future.The primary objective of this role is to proficiently transform complex electronic requirements into cutting-edge electronic design solutions. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of electronic capabilities, and your expertise will be a driving force behind the advancement of our organisation.Key Responsibilities:Meet the requirements of detailed architectural designs for electronic solutionsCollaborate with internal design disciplines and other external suppliers to ensure successful design solutionsDesign for manufacture and test as well as ensure all considerations for a seamless transition into productionFault find and provide solutions for system integrationDemonstrate complacence with MoD and European standards including CE/UKCA as well as work with external test housesComply with all Health and Safety requirements, safe practices and proceduresEnsure the preparation of excellent high quality documentation and drawings that are vital to the development life cycle (eg Bill of Materials, Schematics, Change Notes) and Configuration.Liaise with the project team and assist electronic aspects of products and systemsOn occasion support offsite installations and maintain products and systemsRequirementsA breathe of Electronic Design Experience in both analogue and digital design (Power Supply Design, EMC Compliance, Embedded C, Microcontrollers and PCB Design)Experience in Electronic Product Design Legislation Compliance (UKCA/CE, EMC, RoHS, Safety)FPGA/Firmware or Embedded Software DesignRF Design ExperienceWork with MoD customers and equipment test standardsAbility to present complex ideas to both internal and external stakeholdersExperience in Maritime Communications of Maritime EnvironmentsAbility to be S/C clearanceWhat You'll Get:Full lifecycle and career progression opportunities.Paid overtime or time off in lieu.Flexible working hours.Role-specific allowances.Holiday Closedown.Competitive employer-matched pension scheme.Access to a network of 50+ private clinics and hospitals nationwide for private medical care.Training and upskilling opportunities.Employee benefit schemes.Gym discounts or access to an onsite gym.Company-provided tech equipment.Relocation package for eligible candidates.
