Job Overview:

Mech Electrics is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join their team. This position will initially focus on a substantial hospital project in Oxford, with future work based in the London region. We are looking for a highly experienced candidate who has the potential to progress into a Project Manager role, offering excellent career prospects and a competitive remuneration package.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight: Manage all electrical aspects of the hospital project, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations.
Design Coordination: Collaborate with design teams to develop and implement electrical systems.
Installation Management: Oversee the installation of electrical systems, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to a team of electricians and subcontractors.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure project quality and adherence to safety protocols.
Client Interaction: Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring project requirements are met.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and compliance records.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Experience: Minimum of 7 years in electrical project engineering, with experience in large-scale projects, preferably in the healthcare sector.
Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of electrical systems, installation processes, and industry regulations.
Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Certification: Relevant certifications such as CEng, MIET, or equivalent are desirable.
Driving License: Full UK driving license is required.

Leadership Potential: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, with a clear path to progressing into a Project Manager role.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
