Senior Electrical or Electronic Engineer

Express Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with one the UK’s fastest growing electrical equipment providers. Due to continued growth resulting in the opening of a brand-new modern Nottingham office, our client is seeking to bolster their team with the addition of a Senior Electrical/Electronic Engineer.
The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the ongoing development, design, and manufacture of their smart technology product range.
In return, you will receive a generous starting salary of £60,000 plus other benefits. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop firmware concepts to support the functionality of smart technology products
Assess electrical/electronic designs and manufacturing/testing processes and put forward improvement proposals
Utilise C coding language across embedded firmware development tasks and support Junior Engineers with coding tasks
Support wider cross functional departments
Take ownership for the successful creation of PCB circuit designs and schematics using Altium Designer
Utilise CANbus and Modbus protocols across multiple projects
Education & Experience
Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar subject
Proven proficiency in embedded firmware development using C language, PlatformIO and 32bit processors
Well versed with CAN bus and MODbus technologies
Proficient user of Altium Designer for producing schematics
Industry knowledge regarding IEC 61851-1 standards highly desirable but not essential as training provided
