We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer or Principal Electrical Engineer to work with a Chartered Building Services Engineering Consultancy in Preston. The advantage of working for this consultancy is that you will be trusted to work alongside the client on your first project and trusted to go through the design process. Winning work is not an issue for this company they work in sectors including Healthcare, Education and Commercial and the business is on a journey to go into Revit and make AutoCAD something that is used infrequently. The business works across RIBA Stages 1-4, does Asset Management works and performs Clerk of Works duties for their clients too.
This business is a little different to the typical consultancy. They welcome applications from engineers who have come through the traditional routes as a Senior Electrical Engineer including working for other Building Services Engineering Consultants, but they also welcome the applications of those who are seeking coming off the tools and heading into the design office and the requirement for a degree is not the same as other companies. This model has worked well for them over the years.

You will be working across a broad range of engineering projects, including both new build and refurbishment projects across, predominantly, the North West of England and local to Preston, Lancaster, and Carlisle. You will be exposed to the day-to-day duties of a Senior Electrical Engineer working with the Building Services Engineering sector and you will be working with other Engineers and Seniors on your projects.
Ideally you will be coming from a college background with ONC/HNC qualifications as a minimum. If you have some experience on the tools as an Electrician working in the aforementioned sectors, or other associated Electrical Building Services role it would be of great advantage for the selection for this role. If you have some experience already in design, again this would be something that we would be keen to see applications of.
You will be exposed to Autocad, Revit, Dialux, Amtech and IES/TAS software as part of your development within this role.
