We have urgent openings for a Resident Engineer (Electrical) to join our team on-site, for the ongoing Dasu Hydropower Project in Pakistan. We are actively in search of highly qualified and experienced international professionals to fulfill this crucial role.
Qualifications
The candidate should have at least a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university. Additional weightage will be given to higher (Electrical) qualifications in related fields. This position is for an international expert. Therefore, the candidate should be non-Pakistani.
Experience
He should have a minimum overall experience of 20 years. At least 5 years in supervising installation, erection, and testing of electrical works of hydropower projects. At least 3 years of specific experience working as a Resident Engineer/Assistant Resident Engineer.
Assignment Location
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dasu Dam, Pakistan.
Assignment Duration
The expected assignment period is from the present time until January 2028 (tentative). The work schedule will involve 3 to 4 months on-site and 2 to 3 weeks off.
Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems for the project, including generators, transformers, and control systems.
Evaluate electrical requirements and conduct feasibility studies.
Integrate electrical systems into the overall project design.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
Analyze power flow and system stability for optimal performance.
Select and specify appropriate electrical equipment.
Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning.
Implement safety measures and troubleshoot electrical issues.
Monitor system performance and recommend maintenance and upgrades.
Collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and support.
Stay updated with advancements in electrical engineering.
