Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Carbon60 are recruiting for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to work with global supplier of laser processing tools. They are a unique business based in Abingdon, suppling bespoke special purpose machinery that incorporate laser technology.
These senior electrical design engineer position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate will be someone that has a proven track record of delivering electrical distribution and control systems for special purpose machinery.
Role Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for designing LV distribution and control systems for bespoke machines which are utilised within a production/manufacturing environment.
Produce single line and schematic diagrams using Solidworks electrical.
Provide electrical calculations where appropriate.
Create and maintain documentation for project technical file.
Work with mechanical design department to produce panel layouts and wiring routes.
PLC program design, implementation, and testing to devise solutions.
Interpret customer supplied technical documentation.
Electrical fault finding
Electrical safety testing
Skills and Experience required:
Relevant technical qualification in electrical engineering e.g., Degree/ HND
