Senior Ecologist

Job DescriptionI am partnering with a successful, boutique Ecological consultancy based in Bolton, who are currently seeking a Senior / Principal Ecologist to join the team. You would be joining a small, tight knit team of passionate Ecologists, primarily based out of the North West, with survey work available across England and Wales available.The role requires an individual with experience managing consultant Ecologists and external contractors across a range of UK-based Ecological surveys. You will have the opportunity to mentor all existing, and new, consultants as they gain experience and work towards licenses / chartership. In addition to this, you will also be working closely with the Directorial team on various strategic responsibilities, as such, experience submitting tenders, business development and networking are all considered advantageous.Qualifications / Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology (or related subject)Must have Natural England Bat Level 1 (Level 2 advantageous)Other EPSM licenses are highly desirable (GCN, Dormouse, Barn Owl etc)Experience writing Bat EPSL'sExpert in completing PEA's, EcIA's and Protected Species SurveysConfident individually writing full reports.The Role:Complete protected species surveys and ecological appraisals.BNG Assessments and provision of expert advice to clients.Completion of PEA, UK Habs and EPSM surveysWork closely with external clients for business development purposesManage own projects under supervision from Ecology DirectorWork closely with the Landscape Architecture team on collaborative projectsPackage / Benefits:Casual dressCompany pensionEnhanced maternity leaveEnhanced paternity leaveFlexitimeHealth & wellbeing programmePrivate medical insuranceContact Damon on 0207 960 2586 for more information, or apply directly through the link on this page with an up-to-date CV
