Bennett and Game are currently representing a well-established grounds maintenance company, who are actively seeking an ambitious Senior Ecologist to join their ever-growing team . The successful Senior Ecologist will work closely alongside the head of Ecology, assisting Habitat Classification surveys and supporting junior members of staff.

Senior Ecologist Position Overview

  • Undertaking UK Habitat Classification Surveys, (licenced) protected species surveys
  • Building tenders and creating complex fee quotations at speed
  • Producing complex technical reports (PEA reports, BNG reports, protected species reports, Habitat Management Plans, BREEAM reports, HRAs and EcIAs)
  • Managing medium to large sized projects with ability to track financial progress
  • Line management of junior ecologists
  • Logistical and legislative problem solving

Senior Ecologist Position Requirements

  • 3 years+ industry experience
  • Relevant bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 1 protected species licence (preferred)
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Extensive knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and the understanding of how to apply them correctly
  • Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (ideally Associate), is preferred

Senior Ecologist Position Remuneration

  • Competitive salary, ranging between �40,000 - �45,000 depending on experience
  • Annual bonus scheme
