Senior Ecologist

What we need:
Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Ecologist to join their dynamic team to assist with surveying work around the midlands UK area.

What you will do:
In this role, you will work remotely from home while covering various work locations with the companies clients across the Midlands. You'll engage in diverse projects spanning highways, rail, local authorities, construction, and the private sector.

What you will do:

• Act as the technical lead on environmental projects
• Ensure compliance with legislation and planning conditions
• Supervise contractors and ensure adherence to protected species license requirements
• Mentor and train junior team members
• Conduct ecological surveys and produce technical reports
• Collaborate with stakeholders and regulatory bodies

What you will need:

• A degree in a relevant scientific or environmental discipline
• Minimum 4 years' experience in ecological or environmental fields
• Proficiency in ecological survey techniques and legislation
• Level 2 Bat licence holder or nearing achievement
• Experience with ecological survey software and GIS
• Full clean UK driving licence
