Senior Drainage Design Engineer

Are you passionate about SuDS and sustainability in design?We're looking for a Senior Drainage Design Engineer in Manchester to provide drainage design expertise to a host of public and private sector clients, with a special focus on sustainable urban drainage systems.This role would suit someone with several years experience in the detailed design of drainage, or in a flood risk management role.The company is undergoing a booming period of growth, and has recently transitioned into a large, specialist engineering consultancy, with over 200 staff in offices all over the country, and are part of a larger, multidisciplinary consulting group.As a Senior Drainage Design Engineer, your responsibilities would include:Drainage strategy development.Remodelling and reviewing existing drainage networksIdentifying and assessing flood risks, as well as establishing viable solutionsAssist with the design of SUDs from concept through implementation.Drainage detail design, including specifications and timetablesAttempt to provide value to all projects and knowledge exchange.Maintain quality control.Assist in the cost estimation and tendering of new works.Problem analysis and creative problem solvingKey Requirements:A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or an equivalent) is required.Experience with drainage and SuDS design in the public or private sectors.Strong awareness of pollution control and attenuationExperience with MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage/Flow, and Civil3D.Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilitiesAbility to function under pressureExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAlongside a competitive salary dependent on experience, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes annual leave of 25 days plus bank holidays, yearly paid professional subscription, private health, workplace flexibility, CPD to assist in achieving CEng, IEng, or EngTech.Don't miss out, apply with your CV or contact George Banks on 07787 736270 for an informal discussion.
