Our client is a national main contracting client who operate within the Highways, Rail, Water, and Energy sectors. They have an opportunity for a Senior Document Controller to join their team on an existing long-term framework within the West Midlands region.
This role is based with the West Midlands region with a flexible approach with the requirement to do site visits along with some home working. You will be joining a growing team with a strong reputation in the UK Construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures identification of documents and compliance with standard templates and formats.
- Perform quality and compliance checks on all documentation before issuing.
- Providing Document Control support to project team members in retrieving documents.
- Coordinate and prioritise work requests to meet project and construction requirements.
- Understand and maintain document management objectives in accordance with the job function.
- Manage project files from project start to close out.
- Coordinate all activities related to the document control procedure, including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence.
- Work closely with document management & control in other areas to ensure procedures, standards and work instructions are maintained and modified as required.
- Provide progress reports.
Experience
- Possess good knowledge in document control and management processes, standards, and ISO standards.
- Must have experience working with an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- Construction/Engineering industry experience required.
- Flexible on travel around the West Midlands region.
