Hartmann Young is partnering with a leading Global CDMO company to recruit an experienced Drug Development Director. The ideal candidate will manage, lead, and direct the growth of the company's Product Development business through leadership of the Pharmaceutics Development functions.
The role offers flexibility, with the possibility of being site-based in Hertfordshire or home-based in the South of the UK, willing to travel to site/clients on an ad hoc basis.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide scientific and organizational leadership for Pharmaceutics functions.
Drive talent acquisition and development processes.
Deliver client projects to timeline and budget expectations.
Collaborate with Project Management and stakeholders.
Manage department resources and budget.
Additional Position Requirements:
The job holder must have a Degree in a relevant scientific discipline and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science or relevant field. They should have at least 10 years of experience in an applicable role, demonstrating strong academic/industrial achievement.

Ability to resolve high complexity formulation challenges.
Expertise in drug product design and development.
Leadership skills and commercial orientation.
Sound knowledge of regulatory and CGMP requirements.
