GAP Talent is seeking a Director of Operations for a leading F&B chain in the Caribbean
You will play a key role in overseeing the operational efficiency and profitability of our restaurant and cocktail chain. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of restaurants and bars across multiple locations. The role will require the individual to relocate and the company will provide full relocation assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to maintain consistency and quality across all locations.
Conduct regular site visits to assess operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with company standards.
Monitor key performance metrics such as sales, labor costs, food and beverage costs, and guest satisfaction scores, and take proactive measures to address any issues.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus, optimize inventory management practices, and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Recruit, train, and mentor restaurant managers and staff to foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to managers to help them achieve their performance goals and develop their leadership skills.
Conduct performance evaluations, set clear performance expectations, and implement corrective action plans as needed.
Monitor financial performance against budgetary targets and implement cost-control measures to optimize profitability.
Analyze financial reports and identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.
Negotiate vendor contracts, manage procurement processes, and ensure optimal pricing and terms for goods and services.
Act as a brand ambassador and engage with guests to solicit feedback, address concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Proven experience in multi-unit restaurant management, preferably in a similar upscale or fine dining environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.
Exceptional financial acumen and experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and financial analysis.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Demonstrated commitment to upholding high standards of quality, service, and professionalism.
Please note, applicants need to have restaurant OR F&B industry experience.
