DevSecOps Engineer – Luton hybrid - £80,000 - £95,000 + Bonus + BenefitsAs a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building and implementing security tools and platforms to enhance our information security prevention, detection, and response capabilities. Your primary goal will be to safeguard our customers, suppliers, colleagues, networks, systems, applications, and information from cyber-attacks. You will excel in improving security outcomes faster and at reduced costs for our businesses by collaborating with teams possessing a diverse range of skills, from hands-on to architectural expertise. As the subject matter expert, you will lead initiatives aimed at driving fast and consistent responses through automation. Additionally, you will serve as the Security Partner for selected verticals within the engineering domain, aligning security initiatives with business objectives.Security Engineering Team:Our clients Security Engineering team consists of over 15 dedicated professionals and is continuously growing to support technology and software development teams across cloud and other cutting-edge technologies at scale. We adopt a unique approach, acting as security partners rather than security police. Our focus is on enabling our engineering teams to innovate while providing security guidance to make informed decisions. The Security Engineering team operates within the Security & Capability group, offering a wide range of security solutions and capabilities across the enterprise.Main Responsibilities:a deep understanding of aligned verticals, including technology architecture, security posture, and technical debt.threat landscape analysis and adopt a risk-based approach to security.security initiatives such as developing security requirements, threat modelling, and vulnerability reduction across product areas.architecture and designs for security issues and enable software development teams to leverage security capabilities provided.teams in implementing better security practices, including code reviews, build pipeline enhancements, and deployment methods.security and privacy principles in daily tasks and facilitate risk remediation efforts.assurance activities such as penetration testing and application assurance.quarterly/monthly roadmaps for security activities and collaborate with stakeholders.as an evangelist for security and contribute to strengthening internal policies and standards.Requirements:written and verbal communication skills.problem-solving, analysis, and computational skills.to drive tactical and strategic decision-making.for change and willingness to challenge the status quo.in customer-facing solutions, web technologies, payment systems, content delivery networks, REST APIs, microservices, and modern application development.of the evolving threat landscape and ability to identify business risks.in public cloud services and various architecture patterns.understanding of software, network, and infrastructure security.with application security and DevSecOps principles using coding language such as Python and Java.in security architecture.of general security principles, privacy principles, and industry standards such as NIST, ISO27001, CIS, and MITRE framework.certifications in Azure or AWS cloud security.Our client offers a great working environment with various progression plans to suite your career goals, in addition to a generous benefits package including a 20% bonus, family private healthcare, a generous pension scheme, 25 days of annual leave, share options, flexible working options, and more.If this role is of interest, please apply or reach out to Jacob – 07893921057
