Due to their continued ongoing growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Design Engineer to join their team! As the Senior Designer, you'll lead projects and guide the creation of bespoke designs as well as working on legacy products. You will engage with clients, breathe life into their ideas through your designs, and collaborate with teams, including production, to bring these visions to reality.The successful Senior Design Engineer with ideally have a background in ophthalmic product design, including either lenses or optical equipment. However, candidates with an innovative mindset and a solid grasp of geometry from a design engineering background will do well here.Key responsibilities:Create, develop, and provide detailed bespoke designs.Collaborate with Production to actualise your concepts.Review designs and adjust where necessary.Liaise with clients to understand business requirements.Uphold stringent quality assurance standards.Essential Skills, Knowledge, or Experience:Proficient in geometric calculations.Familiarity with 3D CAD packages (such as Creo, Solidworks, Inventor).Freeform surface modelling, toric lens design and wavefront technology is desirable.Mathematics degree would be advantageous but not essential.Experienced with the product lifecycle within engineering.If you're seeking an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team driving medical technology innovation, don't miss out – get in touch today!
