Position: Senior Design Consultant - ChassisSector: Body & ChassisLocation: Woking, SurreyPosition Type: ContractOutside IR35:About the companyI am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive Manufacturer based in Surrey who are seeking a Chassis Senior Design Engineer to join their team.Job DescriptionAs Chassis Senior Design Engineer your main responsibilities are:Primary responsibility is to work as part of a small well integrated design team, where you would be responsible for the design of the vehicle chassis systems.Typically you will be expected to generate Powertrain & Chassis concepts from styling surface release through to prototype and production parts.In addition you will be expected liaise with our Manufacturing, Global Technical Partners and suppliers to ensure all designs meet the requirements for performance, manufacture and cost.You will also be expected to provide technical support for component and prototype development, and build.Qualifications / Skills requiredIt is anticipated that you will be educated to HNC / HND / Degree level and have demonstrable experience designing and developing automotive Powertrain and Chassis systems.5+ years of automotive Catia V5 design experiencePowertrain & Chassis engineering knowledgeExperience of moulded body constructionWhy work through Contechs?Contechs is a strategic partner to the automotive industry, providing innovative design and engineering services to global OEMs, from concept to production.
