ABOUT PRODUCT AND TECHNOLOGY The BBC Studios Product and Technology group is responsible for the design, development and delivery of the Studios portfolio of products. Our portfolio is diverse but is fully focused on supporting our functions and businesses around the globe whether that be back-office functions, content production or direct to consumer offerings. We are a growing function and will provide an important contribution to the business growth targets over the coming years. Core to that growth will be the launching of enhanced digital products into the market in order to monetize our content offering. You will be joining the team as a key member for shaping and delivering features within established i.e. Top Gear and new digital products such as Bluey, amongst others.
ABOUT THE TEAM Branded Sites are a multi-function delivery team within BBC Studios focused on delivery of direct-to-consumer solutions. We work in a fast-paced environment. Our products include a number of marquee brands including Top Gear, Doctor Who, Bluey, Hey Duggee, and BBC Earth. You will join a team where everyone - including you – strives to better understand our audiences and improve our products on a daily basis. As a team we are adaptable, supportive, highly business focused and continually looking to improve.
THE ROLE: Accountable for driving the delivery process of products and services towards outcomes for a team or teams Accountable for applying the delivery methodology to deliver a successful outcome Responsible for maintaining delivery momentum and managing blockers, risks and impediments to progress Responsible for ensuring deliverables are defined against clearly articulated outcomes. Leads continuous planning practices and ensures work is visible and there is an iterative plan to work towards that is actively communicated and understood by teams & stakeholders Responsible for identifying and bringing the right people together at the right time. Understands how and when to include people in communications, agile ceremonies and to make decisions Responsible for taking a lead on establishing healthy team dynamics. Ensuring teams are collaborative and communicating effectively with each other Responsible for leading on creating an environment where continuous improvements of teams' working practices can happen, including measuring success, inspecting and adapting Supports effective supplier and budget management to deliver successful outcomes.Be adept at breaking down barriers for yourteamswith the ability toplanat a higher level and getinto the detail to make things happen when needed Able to mediate between teams and individuals to successful outcomes ensuring teams are collaborating and communicating well with each other Have demonstrable experiencedeliveringdigital products, platformsand servicesusing agile methods Understands the different phases of product delivery and can contribute to, plan and run these Be a team player andactive listenerwho can give clear, actionable feedback, allowing you to build trust, manage complex team dynamics, and motivate everyone to work towards a common goal Experience of working with multiple 3rd parties/suppliers to facilitate resolution, follow-up on open items, escalate issues and drive improvementExperience of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams with a delivery focus in both project and operational environmentsJira and Confluence experience.

The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insightsContract type: Fixed Term Contract – 12 month Maternity Contract Location: Flexible/Hybrid - the successful candidate will need to be able to travel to Television Centre, London for 1 day per week, but can be based anywhere in the UK.
