Senior Data Scientist - Outside IR35 (Financial Crime)

La Fosse is partnered with a renowned, global technology company in the financial services who are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to deliver expertise on a large financial crime project, building fraud detection technology with modern data science techniques.
You will help develop, deploy and support our suite of models used to prevent financial crime globally.
Location: Hybrid / London twice per week
IR35: Outside
6 months initial duration (likely extension)
Early June start date
You will:
Deploy industry-leading models to customers globally
Conduct Proof-of-Value exercises with customers
Contribute towards the research and development of new Machine Learning solutions
Support in-production models, ensuring that they meet their user's needs over time
You must have:
Extensive experience developing and deploying machine learning models at scale within financial services (ideally within financial crime prevention based projects)
Very Strong Python skills and strong familiarity with the data science stack (pandas, scikit-learn and network)
Have experience working in a, dynamic and scientific manner and creating high-quality models
Be able to effectively explain complex technical concepts to a range of stakeholders and teams
Desirable
Experience building fraud detection or anti-money laundering models at scale
Knowledge around payments technology
