Job DescriptionAre you an experienced Senior Data Engineer seeking an exciting interim opportunity in London/on a remote basis? Our client, a leading tech company building solutions for the music & entertianment industry, is on the lookout for a talented individual to join their team as a Senior Data Engineer.In this role, you will be instrumental in building and supporting large-scale real-time and batch-based data pipelines, managing significant volumes of daily usage data from various music services. Responsibilities include designing clear and robust data models and interfaces, writing SQL-based data transformations with comprehensive testing, and managing infrastructure as code using AWS CDK.Our client is specifically seeking candidates with practical experience in the following:Data modeling techniques and methodologies, along with a strong background in developing data services using AWS managed storage, SQL, and NoSQL databases.Experience in building ELT processes with distributed databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Presto is highly valued.TDD experience and a passion for working in agile, cross-functional teams are also essential.While the team operates remotely across the UK, occasional in-person meetings are encouraged, particularly in their London office. Candidates able to attend key meetings in the office once a month are preferred, although remote work is an option. This is an initial 12 month contract, inside IR35 with 1 day per month required in the office. Our customer is paying £600PD - £700PD for any interested engineers.
