About our Team Data is at the core of what we do at Cirium. Unlike many businesses, our data isn’t about our customers. It’s about various facets of aviation: flights, aircraft, tickets, schedules, and more. We need to be able to work with this data in an agile fashion to develop new insights and solve customer problems. About the Role Senior data engineer to work in a cross-functional team with the charter of bringing the company’s existing data assets into a structured, well-organized and governed data platform. Responsibilities Designing and building the infrastructure for data extraction, preparation and loading of data,Collaborating with data science to employ their algorithms within a data pipelineImplementing modern development processes, coding best practices, and code reviewsMentoring Junior Data EngineersUnderstanding data sets and build processes to extract and publish dataRequirements Be aware of differences and challenges of working with both streaming data sets and more traditional data setsExperience with AWS data stack (such as S3, Glue, Athena,)Experience designing data pipelines/ETL in AirflowHave working SQL knowledge and experience working with several relational databasesExperience in PythonHave interpersonal and written communications skills Women in technology:
