The Role & Key Responsibilities
Job Title:Senior Dairy Consultant - Business (South West Region)
Location: Home Based with 2 - 3 days per week travelling
Do you enjoy building long term business relationships, driving change and providing a consultative approach to your customers? This is a great opportunity to work with a our South West based farm clients that are looking to rapidly grow or transform their business, supporting them with solutions and plans to take their business to the next level.
Reporting to the Southern Regional Manager, you will work with a growing team of consultants and other dairy specialists across the Kite and KW teams whilst also attending regular dairy events and networking opportunities. Ensuring we can offer our customers optimal market, commercial and financial advice. You will be working with other financial advisors, accountants, banking and legal firms to really enable change for our customers with a joined up approach.
We are looking for strategic and analytical individuals that thrive by advising and influencing with a focus on profit per cow, sustainability and return on investment, with the ability to draw on benchmarking data to ensure our customers are competitive and can enable growth. Familiarity with business tools for budget and monitoring purposes are essential as well as a good understanding of business and financial structures for dealing with succession and business development.
What you'll bring:
Previous industry experience within agriculture, dairy or financial/business advisory.
A qualification in Animal Science, Agriculture, Business or Finance is preferred.
An excellent understanding of UK Dairy farming and market trends.
Proven experience of developing sales and providing high value consultancy.
A good understanding of the financial structure of a farming business and management to include accounting and budgeting experience.
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills to utilise and develop business monitoring systems
Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage your customers, colleagues and peers.
Can work with tact and diplomacy when required, with a professional and empathic approach.
Enjoys working in a target orientated environment with a commercial mindset.
Must have a driving license.
