We are expanding our security and resilience team within the CISO office. Over the last few years, we have been on a continuous improvement journey and are looking to expand the team. These new roles will allow us to fully enact our threat-led security program, drive further improvements across cyber and support our organisational goal of building a secure and resilient mutual. With a security team over fifty already, these new roles will enhance our capabilities as the threat landscape continues to evolve.
Royal London is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in identifying and mitigating cyber threats to protect our company's sensitive information. As a Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced technologies and collaborate with a team of skilled professionals. The purpose of the role is to operate a robust set of threat intelligence products for internal stakeholders from identification and sourcing of intelligence to production of high quality reporting at the tactical, operational and strategic level. Additionally, the role will work closely with the internal security testing team to drive threat-led detection and control effectiveness testing. The new role will work alongside an existing peer to continually drive improvements across the wider cybersecurity program, mentor junior members of the team and set a great example.
About the role
You'll be driving the end-to-end intelligence lifecycle for the firm, ensuring intelligence is analysed and is suitable/relevant to Royal London.
You'll be continually learning, as threat actors evolve overtime, we expect our teams to evolve their skills too.
You'll work closely with our cyber defence and governance team and within the wider CISO teams, with stakeholders including the CISO and their peers.
You'll work with a varied toolset, with commercial, private, and public intelligence sources
You'll be expected to present threat briefings to a range technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring they are relevant and pitched at your audience correctly.
About you
Experience of perimeter and host security intrusion techniques, including threat hunting as part of incident response
Previous experience of working within a regulated environment, ideally the financial services industry, banking, or insurance.
Deep knowledge and hands-on experience of security information and event management (SIEM) tools and other detective controls operated in large enterprises.
In-depth knowledge of cyber threats, attack techniques, and defensive measures.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to dissect complex information and provide actionable insights. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
A degree or professional certification is not a hard requirement for this role. If you have qualifications such as GCTI its an added bonus.
