Senior Cyber Security Consultant (6 month contract)Glasgow (remote can be considered)Purpose of Role:
The Weir Group are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Consultant to join our global team during a period of transition to support
the management and strategy of the Security Operations function. As a Senior Cyber Security Consultant, you will
leverage
your
expertise
to su
pport
internal management to
excel function matur
ity. You will work closely with Security Operations leadership
and with the Director of IT, legal and compliance, product groups,
infrastructure
and service operations across the Group.

Strategic Leadership:
Support Senior Management
to develop and implement an operational cyber security
roadmap
Provide
expert
advi
c
e
in cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies
to inform
decision-making
Security Operations Management:
Support
Security Operations Management during a
transitional
period
Collaborate
with cross-functional teams to support the integration of security best
prac
t
ices
into the development
lifecycle
Support
establishing
standardised resource management processes across the operational security
space
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have
previous
experience managing security functions and developing
operational strategies
Excellent communications and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across di
verse
teams
Accomplished senior leader in security operations, digital
security and enabling technologies and
processes
The successful candidate will preferably have experience working in large global enterprises
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks,
standards
and best practices
Relevant certi
fications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent would be
advantageous
