Senior Credit Risk Manager

We are looking for an experienced senior credit risk manager to help build and lead credit risk capability for Monument Re’s growing Group Risk function. The candidate will have 5-10 years of experience and will be responsible for conducting thorough credit risk analysis across investment grade credit, exposure to high yield and private credit market. Insurance regulatory knowledge is a must have.This individual will be a motivated self-starter who is practical in their approach to risk management and will be key input provider in a number of strategic investment and credit decision making areas. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain effective credit risk appetites, risk limits and risk indicatorsEffectively coordinate management of credit risk across multiple local entities and at Group levelReview the effectiveness of internal controls relating to credit risk management and make recommendations for enhancementHelp oversee effective strategic asset allocation implementation according to prudent persons principleDevelop/ input into internal credit ratings assessmentIdentify key credit risk drivers and mitigantsRole RequirementsPrevious experience in fundamental credit risk management, insurance risk management;Good working knowledge of applicable insurance regulation (Solvency II, BMA);Enthusiastic to build and lead processes;Ability to use technology and models, ability to synthesise data into a few key risk drivers;Degree or post-graduate education in a numerical subject;5+ years experience in an insurance, credit rating agency, bank or insurance solutions asset management arm;Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skillsPerform asset, sector and/or thematic risk deep dives on the portfolio Prepare and/or contribute to Group board risk committee memo Help lead asset risk due diligence on material M&A/Reinsurance/TRT transactionsWould you like to join our exciting business but don’t see a role that suits you?
