The Company
Would you like to be responsible for the development, installation and commissioning of state-of-the-art Control Systems into ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems)? This next generation food business is leading the way in the development of food processing technology and supplying to the leading retailers across the UK and Europe.
The Role
You will deliver highly automated solutions, from both a software and hardware perspective for this technology driven FMCG business. You will lead a small team and continuously seek out software improvements and code projects for both new and existing sites.
The Senior Controls Engineer will lead and simulate modelling to validate code before rollout, utilising tools such as Siemens Factory Simulation. You will also liaise with the wider team on project concepts to ensure both software and hardware can meet required specifications.
Assist in the development of a best-in-class software roadmap, creating a standardised process for PLC development and commissioning, as well as seeking out software improvements to improve efficiencies of the business operations.
The Person
You will be an experienced controls engineer, with a degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or related discipline and hold a minimum of 5 years' experience as a controls engineer within a complex M&E design facility such as food processing, automation, data centres, automated warehousing or manufacturing.
Experience with Siemens S7, SCADA or other PLC would be beneficial, as would a comprehensive understanding of industrial design, utilising AutoCAD or similar.
Excellent project management skills, with exposure to working in a fast-paced environment would also be highly advantageous.
