Senior Contracts Manager Listed Building Renovations Location: The Cotswolds Salary: GBP60,000 - GBP75,000 per annum, depending on experience
Join a prestigious building contractor in a critical leadership role that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern construction management. We are seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to oversee renovation projects on Listed and Heritage Buildings in The Cotswolds. This position is primarily office-based with regular site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the contractual management of multiple renovation projects, ensuring all contractual terms are met and projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget. Develop and implement strategies for the effective management of project contracts, from initiation through to completion, including extensions and renewals. Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts with clients and subcontractors, ensuring comprehensive compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Lead project planning, including resource allocation, timeline scheduling, and risk management, to ensure efficient project execution. Maintain continuous communication with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and project teams, to ensure alignment and address any issues promptly. Provide expert advice on contractual claims, manage disputes, and ensure the resolution of conflicts. Supervise and mentor contracts and project management teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Prepare and present detailed reports on the status of contracts, including progress, risks, and potential areas of improvement.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry, with a strong background in managing listed or heritage building renovations and high-end new developments. Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field; Master s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., MRICS) preferred. Excellent leadership and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage and resolve complex contractual and management issues. Deep understanding of construction law, contract drafting, and specifications, combined with a solid knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards. Strong analytical and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, and other relevant technology tools.
