Senior Contracts Administrator

Carbon60 are looking for an agile Senior Contracts Manager to join one of our dynamic defence manufacturing clients in Portsmouth.

The successful candidate will be joining an exciting, fast-paced environment playing a crucial part in managing Defence and Law Enforcement contract operations whilst maintaining compliance to regulating policies and legal obligations - ensuring customer requirements are met maintaining satisfaction.

This will include duties such as (but not limited to): processing contracts and purchase orders, managing product imports and deliveries into the UK, analysing third-party inventory and ensuring stock records are maintained, keeping required contractual documents and records are maintained, as well as supporting field sales with data analysing on current contracts.

Salary: �35,000 - �45,000 p/a

Working Hours:

  • 36 Hours per week.
  • Mon - Thurs 07:30 to 16:00.
  • Friday 07:30 to 11:30 (Working from home)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage operational activities associated with UK Defence and Law Enforcement
  • Managing contracts and ensuring documentation remains current and accurate, for example: quotations, history of negotiation, contracts, purchase orders and change orders.
  • Processing of contracts and purchase orders
  • Monitor third-party inventory, ensuring records are maintained and up-to-date
  • Managing the import of regulated products into the UK, arranging associated transportation and ensuring compliance with necessary import/export regulations
  • Support field sales when required, for example supplying data on existing company contracts
  • Inspect products if and when required
  • Arrange and carry out visits both customers and events

Required Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

  • All employees will be subject to a background police check given the nature of manufactured products
  • Possess either a Level 4/HNC/NVQ or equivalent
  • Have 5 years' experience of working within Sales & Marketing and/or contract management
  • Able to communicate both written and verbally to a high standard
  • IT Literate and experienced in utilising Microsoft Office - especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Flexible, organised, committed and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in Import and Export control and/or within a Manufacturing/Factory-based/Defence industry environment would be advantageous but not essential.
