Apsida Life Science are proud to partner with a long-standing client on their continued growth through 2024. Specialising in a broad range of commercial strategy services including brand strategy, launch excellence, asset segmentation and prioritisation, they are an extremely reputable name in the industry. With a highly successful Q1 in 2024, they are strengthening their middle-management team and looking to hire a Strategic Consultant.
Description
A strategic consultant represents a seasoned consultant who can confidently lead the day-to-day aspects of a project and is the point of contact for client interactions. Strategic consultants are expert facilitators who are comfortable co-leading workshop preparation, facilitation, and summary. Strategic Consultants are responsible for contributing to the success of the business by developing current client business with support from more senior consultants.
Requirements
Academic qualifications
Life Sciences Degree; 2:1 minimum, ideally with a postgrad qualification
Experience
4 years + consulting experience in Life Sciences
Project management and client interaction experience
Comfortable and involved in past BD/ proposal development.
Internal team leadership experience
Duties and Responsibilities
Excels in the delivery of all consultant duties and responsibilities.
Project Leadership
Expansion of project management responsibilities to project leadership:
Routinely manages multiple projects across clients and disease areas.
Increasingly takes on project lead roles in specific accounts.
Client Engagement
Responsible for everyday client communication.
Ensures the client has confidence in the project team and feels supported.
Ensures that the client needs are fulfilled, and project scope is met.
Proactively communicates any project challenges and identifies solutions.
Workshopping
Responsible for workshop design and delivery:
Independently designs workshop flow, agenda, and materials.
Expertly facilitates workshop break out groups and co-leads plenary facilitation.
Ensures project team is prepared for workshops, with roles and responsibilities set.
Project Delivery
Overall accountable for project delivery:
Empowered to delegate delivery to team members.
Accountable for maintaining the high quality and consistency of project outputs.
Internal Leadership
Increasingly contributing to internal leadership:
Line management of associate consultants.
Input into internal team development opportunities (e.g., training programs).
Working to become an internal expert in an offering or disease area.
Business Development
Actively contributes to the business development:
Identifies and pursues opportunities for follow-up work within current projects.
Expands business within current accounts through harvesting.
Supports the generation of new business development opportunities.
