We are seeking future leaders who can combine expertise and passion for project management and stakeholder engagement with rail industry knowledge. You will be responsible for leading the delivery of rail studies for a range of clients, working collaboratively with them and our team to manage complex programmes of work across business case, rail contract and early scheme development projects. You will be an integral part of our dynamic, highly skilled team who utilise our deep understanding of the transport sector to deliver world class solutions to our clients. You'll be trusted to deploy your skills to help us grow and deliver, while supported to develop in a direction that suits you.Your Purpose:As part of our Transport Advisory team, you will join us in being committed to delivering our Business Plan. You will be responsible for:Achieving growth across our business through contributing to winning work and expanding our capability to deliver to key target markets.Delivering excellence in your work through adherence to best practice and business management guidance.Ensuring ‘Everyone goes home safely’, our core business value.Supporting our ‘People and Culture’ initiatives which include collaboration and innovation.Actively engaging with EDI initiatives and evolving your own EDI journey.Your day-to-day role will provide you with a positive challenge to utilise and develop your existing skillset:You will be part of our multidisciplinary teams focused on delivering high quality outputs for our clients.You will take a technical lead role in areas of expertise, manage technical interfaces with your own discipline and lead simple technical interfaces across disciplines.You will collate and analyse large data sets to inform and feed into reports and models.You will lead the development of demand forecasting, cost and economic appraisal models following TAG and PDFH principles.You will review analysis and modelling completed by others.You will utilise rail industry software such as MOIRA.You will support the team to maintain high standards of quality assurance.You will engage directly with clients and stakeholders to provide technical and project management expertise to deliver rail studies.You will be responsible for the planning, monitoring and delivery of projects against time. and budget proposals, whilst actively adapting to change.You will be responsible for developing new and existing relationships with clients.You will prepare reports and presentations for a range of internal and external stakeholders.You will support business development and bidding activities.You will be empowered and supported to continually develop yourself and mentor those around you.What You Can Bring:A degree or equivalent qualification in a numeric or analytical field.A post-graduate qualification in a transport-related subject would be advantageous.A portfolio of project experience demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the UK Rail Industry across modelling, business case and rail planning disciplines.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Programming skills (e.g. python, R, etc) would be an advantage.Proven experience of analysis and modelling in any of the following areas: passenger services, economic benefits, cost, or revenue.Experience in programme and project management and client/stakeholder liaison.Proven experience in the application of industry standard principles and guidance (Department for Transport TAG, PDFH).Excellent communication skills with strong report writing capability, with the ability to prepare and present information to a range of audiences.Excellent problem-solving skills and an aptitude for developing and applying a range of analytical techniques.A proven track record of delivering high quality analysis to tight deadlines and excellent organisational skills.Experience working in a collaborative environment combined with the drive and ability to work independently.Exceptional client focus and commitment to exceeding clients’ expectations.Why work for AtkinsRéalis?Our Transportation teams are reinventing transport for a challenging yet exciting future.
