The role will be focussed on supporting their insurance and reinsurance clients across both risk & capital and investment & ALM.Location: Edinburgh/Glasgow/LondonCategory: Life ActuarialType: PermanentKey duties (including, but not limited to):Providing high quality support and advice to their insurance and reinsurance clients both in the UK and globallyDeveloping and maintaining strong relationships with clients, building a strong network of contacts in the life insurance industryIdentifying and developing further consultancy opportunities with new and existing clientsDelivering to their clients as a subject matter expert in the key areas of your experienceCollaborating across the business, particularly with their investment and risk transfer specialists in the firm, to deliver on cross-practice projectsHelping to promote their insurance offerings to a wider audience, which includes conference speaking and writing articlesDeveloping and shaping new investment propositions to take to their clients and prospectsDependent on experience, but candidates are likely to be qualified UK actuaries with proven, relevant post-qualification experience, or hold another professional investment or quantitative risk qualificationStrategic business acumen and knowledge of risks facing the insurance industry, which will have been acquired in an ‘in-house’ or consultancy roleSound grounding in actuarial techniques and strong IT skillsProven commitment to continuous professional development
