About the business and roleSLR Consulting is a rapidly growing professional services consultancy with over 2,000 multi-discipline consultants across Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe and North America, and 700 staff in APAC.Due to our continued growth and expanding project pipeline, there is a fantastic opportunity for a Statutory Planner to join our APAC Planning team in Newcastle. Our team is made up of a group of highly skilled and motivated Planners with an enthusiastic approach to life and work. We currently service a pipeline of projects within the commercial, health and sustainable energy sectors. With our national Planning hub centred in Newcastle, the team enjoy exposure to a national project pipeline without having to leave our beautiful local area. We work in a flexible office environment and pride ourselves on our relaxed and positive culture, regular social events and positive client feedback. We are also open to applications from Sydney based candidates to work from our modern waterside offices at the Sub Base Platypus facility in North Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities The ideal candidates will have:Planning analysis and research and confident in delivering exceptional resultsManaging projects without direct supervisionLiaising with clients, councils, consultants & other government agenciesCompiling of DA lodgment packagesExperience working across multi-disciplinary projects within a consulting environmentBusiness development and high-level client relationship management Skills and experienceNot only will you bring a great attitude and enthusiastic approach to your work, you will also have:A degree in town planning or equivalent
Ideally you will have 3-8 years working experience within a consulting business with direct experience in a town planning, property, developmentExcellent report writing skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to be a team playerBenefitsOur culture is unique where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
