The Role
We're actively seeking a dynamic and seasoned professional to step into the role of Senior Construction Manager. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual eager to immerse themselves in the fast-paced world of our start-up, collaborating closely with the business leadership team and the founders to shape and elevate the Bloom’s presence in the industry. Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:
Monitoring programmes, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and the client team to ensure project requirements are met.
Commercial Management:
Working closely with the project quantity surveyor.
Being aware of commercial constraints throughout the project lifecycle, but not letting it compromise quality and safety.
Team Leadership and Management:
Lead and motivate the Bloom team including supply chain.
Provide clear direction and guidance to team members to ensure project objectives are met.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment conducive to productivity and safety.
Quality Control and Compliance:
Familiarity with design management principles and tools for coordinating the design process, collaborating with architects and engineers, and ensuring design intent is achieved.
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure work meets regulatory standards and client expectations.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues promptly.
Working with our HSE Manager to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
Proactively address any issues that may arise during the construction process.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities and decisions.
Key Skill Requirements
Experience using Procore Project Management Tools.
Degree qualified or equivalent NVQ Level.
Can confidently lead projects in the £500k - £5m range.
5+ years’ construction management leadership role.
Understanding of traditional and design & build contracts.
Demonstrate a track record of managing design lead packages.
Strong written and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently present to board level.
Understands programming logic, can update and build programmes.
Hold full working rights in the UK.
Person Specification
A self-starter adept at managing themselves and tasks end-to-end, demonstrating a proactive approach to deliver results efficiently.
Possess a comprehensive understanding of the construction sector and the broader industry.
Tech savvy and quick to learn new technologies.
Exhibit excellent people skills, engaging clients, sub-contractors and suppliers in a consultative manner.
Skilful in cultivating long-term relationships that contribute to the overall success of the team.
Attention to detail and a genuine team player, fostering a collaborative environment that fuels collective success.
Maintain a positive and flexible attitude, demonstrating lateral thinking and a willingness to tackle challenges head-on.
