It leads on the implementation of UN and UK financial sanctions and domestic terrorist asset freezing, providing a high-quality service to the industry and guidance to help them follow the law. OFSI works closely with law enforcement, intelligence agencies and policy colleagues across Government, to help ensure that financial sanctions are accurately understood, implemented and enforced.OFSI is a diverse and dynamic team of over 100 people, from a variety of backgrounds and professions. We strongly support a good work-life balance and flexible working is actively encouraged.OFSI colleagues can be involved in a wide range of activities and can get to meet many different people and organisations.This role will be for a short term compliance monitoring project.About the JobIn this role, key responsibilities will include:Lead your own caseload of serious, complex or high-profile reporting cases ensuring they are reviewed and closed or advanced to the Enforcement unit accordingly.Effectively manage the performance and development of two compliance monitoring officers, making sure that they meet their individual and collective objectives and targets of the team.Develop and maintain data analysis tools to lead, summarise and present licensing reporting information, in an understandable and usable format for internal and external partners.Maintain up to date knowledge of developments in licence drafting policy and enforcement strategy, apply and pass on this knowledge as appropriate.Responsible for coordinating and quality assuring responses to external data requests into the team within specified timescales.Support on work to put in place new tools and processes for building a picture of the scale of non-compliance in licensing reporting and work with colleagues across OFSI to devise proactive outreach and engagement activity.About YouWe are recruiting for four roles in the Compliance Monitoring team, within the Enforcement unit in the Treasury’s Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation. These are roles that will provide opportunities for the post-holder to be creative and innovative as we look to make changes to further strengthen our compliance monitoring processes and practices.We are looking for people who have a good attention to detail and a structured approach to managing their work, who have the right set of skills for the role. They will be able to demonstrate the positive values of our organisation, and an ability to quickly develop an understanding of a technical and sensitive operational policy area and an ability to distil complex information clearly and concisely.
