We benefit from a learning culture and are keen to develop our employees to advance their careers at Aventum.Role SummaryYou will be supporting the Compliance Monitoring Team, in ensuring the delivery of the Aventum Group Compliance Monitoring Plan. You will assist the Head of Compliance Monitoring (HoCM) to provide assurance and assistance to the Aventum Group to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation applicable in the general insurance and reinsurance sector through both focused monitoring work and ongoing monitoring processes.Role AccountabilitiesKeeping up to date with regulatory developments, including FCA and other regulatory (such as data protection) issues and those on the horizon.Assist the HoCM in developing and executing the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan.Complete assigned Monitoring Reviews (end to end from preparatory work to reporting)Supporting the deliverance of ad hoc monitoring reviews and 2nd LOD testingAssist in the annual review of policies, procedures, and guidance documents as they relate to Compliance Monitoring.Support the Compliance Team in ensuring that the Aventum Group activities comply at all times with both its internal procedures and regulatory requirements.Identify and recommend opportunities to improve the overarching Compliance FrameworkAssist with the review and monitoring of the Aventum Groups' various compliance registers.Work with the business first line to ensure risks and controls are identified, validated and documented.Assist the HoCM in the collation of monthly management information for Board/Committee reportsAny additional duties as assigned.Role Requirements3 to 5 years of relevant compliance monitoring experience within the (re)insurance and/or Lloyd’s market.A strong understanding of the FCA’s and Lloyd’s rules and guidance particularly applicable to the (re)insurance sector.Experience in conducting end-to-end thematic reviews.Skills and AbilitiesGood level of IT literacy particularly in Excel and Word.A personable individual is key, willing to learn and comfortable working in a diverse, fast-paced environment.Good ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.High attention to detail.Good influencing skills.Management DutiesNoWe are an equal-opportunity employer, and we are proud to share that 93% of our employees say they can be themselves at work.
