Senior Commissioning Engineer
Salary Range: £50,000 - £70,000
Location: within an hour from Herts – required to work Nationwide

Roles & Responsibilities:
As a JIB Technician or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience commissioning Mechanical Extract Systems and other smoke ventilation systems, you will work with and supervise team members of varying skill levels, helping them maximize their potential.
NIC/EIC tester with a proven track record.
Strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile for the company and customers, inspiring others to achieve high standards.
Manage projects to ensure timely completion.
Communicate effectively with customers and staff at all levels, maintaining our company’s reputation.
Provide detailed quotations for customers via Uptick software.
Willingness to work across the UK, including periodic stopovers and overtime.
Main Duties:
Wire, fix, and commission Mechanical Extract Systems.
Ensure systems fully operate under all conditions listed in the commissioning report to prevent compliance failures.
Understand all legislation and British Standards applicable to the industry.
Ensure all work complies with the latest standards and guidance.
Wire, fix, and commission a wide range of smoke ventilation products from various manufacturers.
Manage installations of all sizes, ensuring the team adheres to the correct design and standards as per provided drawings.
Communicate with other trades to ensure smooth project completion.
Qualifications:
NVQ Electrical installations or equivalent.
SSSTS or higher.
JIB/ECS card holder.
Span set, PASMA, IPAF certifications.
Working knowledge of ADB; BS EN 12101; BS 9999; BS 9991 & BS 7346 pt 8.
Familiarity with equipment from multiple manufacturers (e.g., Colt, SCS, FDS & SE Controls).
Current full clean driving license.
NIC/EIC electrical tester.
