In the RAIL segment, Powerlines is a full service provider and offers its customers the whole range of services from Consulting and System Design to Installation and Maintenance.Senior Commercial Manager- Doncaster, UKMAIN DUTIES:Assess Contract conditions and minimise risk to SPL Powerlines UK LimitedOversee timely submission of monthly applications to client & ensure cashflow stability for the region.Liaise with clients and ensure cash incomeEnsure all projects are delivered in accordance with the contractAssess contract programmes and minimise risk and liabilityProvide accurate cost advice and financial reporting to the clientCompile and agree final accounts with clientControl sub-contractors and contract conditions of contractLiaise with clients to minimise and reduce risk of liability to SPL Powerlines UK Limited.Management of Commercial TeamAttend client meetingsContractual and Commercial correspondenceConstructively challenge process and procedures to bring about service improvementsTHE PERSON:Experience within the commercial industry/sector, minimum 8 years.Qualification in a technical subject ideally Degree qualified with BSc Quantity SurveyingIndividual capable of running several jobs with minimal supervisionPrevious role within a commercial department within a managerial roleA good understanding of contract document preparation, contract management processes and proceduresExperience of assisting in the handling of claims and disputesAn understanding of commercial and financial reporting within a project, programme or portfolio environmentA good understanding of construction contracts and Bills of Quantities and their respective preparationA good understanding of works measurement and valuation including the cost and value reconciliation of contractor and/or subcontractor accounts preferably within a rail overhead line environmentA broad experience of all aspects of commercial management and contract administration on a diverse range of construction contracts from inception to completion.Experience of assisting in the handling of claims and disputesA working knowledge of procurement techniques and contract forms.An understanding of commercial and financial reporting within a project, programme or portfolio environmentA strong and detailed quantity surveying knowledge base throughout all pre and post construction phasesThe ability to provide accurate cost advice and financial reporting to the clientAbility to build strong relationshipsAbility to travel to different locations as and when required; driving licence requiredWE OFFER YOU:A varied, responsible and challenging positionAn open, dynamically growing international business environmentThe opportunity to actively participate in the development of the companyIf you are interested in this role, have the drive, ambition and relevant experience and skills to join this fast paced team, please apply right here in the Job Portal.You can find more exciting jobs at .
