Senior Commercial Lead - Central Government

The Adecco Public Sector team have been engaged to source for a Senior Commercial Lead to work on an interim basis to head up a strategic Commercial Government department. This is a 12-month contract, paying up to 750 - 800 per day, inside IR35, predominantly remote working.The client operates using a hybrid model; however, the incumbent would not be expected to be in the office more than twice a week to be able to engage and have face time with both the team and senior stakeholders.Essential skills & Experience:Extensive central government procurement experience as a key leader within Commercial where key achievements centred on cost savings and value for moneyDigital & Technology category knowledge is also desirable, and we are keen to interview candidates who are: Competent purchasers of Digital & Technology products and services;Understanding and clarifying the ability to terminate or amend current contracts if they are no longer fit for purpose; Designing and implementing approaches which ensure effective delivery of the right outcome. This can be new sourcing/procurement activities or improvements in contractProficient in the use of CCS frameworks, including Networks Services, Technology Services, and the digital marketplace (DOS and G-Cloud);Good knowledge of EU Procurement Legislation (Public Contract Regulations and Defence and Security Public Contract RegulationsExperience sourcing to realise positive social outcomes through commercial policyOpen minded and a good listener but also persuasive and able to influence senior stakeholdersPlease apply to the advert for immediate consideration, we look forward to hearing from you.
