As our Senior Commercial Analyst, you’ll play an integral part in creating meaningful and insightful data analytics used in executive decision-making at Stericycle. This role will have you utilizing various techniques such as statistical analysis and data mining, supporting, and developing the solutions and recommendations for the global commercial organization. The Senior Sales Operations Analyst is a proactive, analytical individual contributor responsible for developing interactive and actionable dashboards, analyses, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll maintain and expand in-house applications coded with Python.
You’ll maintain and deliver weekly sales, performance, and commissions data to deliver accurate, on time, and complete commissions for payment.
You’ll use advanced data tools to prepare recommendations and provide solutions to functional leaders based on the analytical trends and results found in the data and market trends.
You’ll conduct data mining and analysis for ad hoc projects by leveraging exploratory data analysis and data visualization.
You’ll support the design and maintenance of data and business intelligence applications and platforms that are internally created.
You’ll develop and enhance dashboards and visualization applications that transform large, complex data into meaningful insights that management can use to produce informed business decisions.
You’ll maintain data integrity for applications that transform large, complex data for various levels of management to use in making sound business decisions.
You’ll effectively communicate findings and complex analytical solutions to various levels of management from supervisors to executives.
You’ll perform rigorous quality assurance steps to deliver highly accurate and reliable work products.
You’ll incorporate on-going feedback from stakeholders into existing dashboards and analyses.
You’ll utilize available tools to solve evolving business problems, and perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
To Succeed in this role:
Bachelor’s or equivalent; preferred Bachelor of Science degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research) or the equivalent in related work experience.
You are proficient in Python coding as this is a must-have requirement in this role – at least three years of working experience.
You have four to ten years of recent experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Developer, or a related analytical role, using advanced data tools.
You have minimum of three years of experience and knowledge building reports within a standard reporting application (i.e., SAP Business Objects, Cognos BI, SQL Reporting Services, etc.) and in creating ad hoc data marts for analysis using ETL tool (i.e., SQL, Alteryx, SSIS, etc.).
You’re proficient in Excel and comfortable using other Microsoft Office products.
Experience in service and/or healthcare related business preferred, but not required.
How you’ll demonstrate your ability:
You can perform basic analysis and data manipulation and possess problem-solving skills.
You have proven experience in dashboard development and data visualizations using Power BI.
You have experience with (understand and develop queries) SQL, SAP Hana Enterprise and relational databases.
You have the willingness to expand upon known technical skills and continually develop and learn new technical skills in support of new tools/methods.
You can work independently and manage several simultaneous projects with a focus on results.
