Concept IT are working exclusively with a leading Global Professional Services organisation, focused on expanding its Azure Practice, particularly within the Financial Services Sector. We are currently seeking to fill two immediate positions within our client's advisory practice, with an additional 10 roles anticipated in the coming months.

Our client is experiencing increased demand with FSI clients wanting to adopt the Azure cloud. This demand means that they're recruiting for a Senior Cloud Architect/Senior Advisory Consultant to support clients in their cloud migration initiatives as part of comprehensive transformation projects.

The Professional Services team specialises in delivering cloud transformation, IT infrastructure, and application architecture consultancy to clients seeking to migrate to the Azure cloud. As a Senior Consultant your responsibilities will be to lead proof-of-concept projects, conducting enterprise portfolio assessments, evaluating operational best practices, and facilitating skills transfer workshops.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Client-Centric Cloud Transformation: Lead Azure cloud transformation projects within the Financial Services Sector, aligning solutions with client's unique business objectives.
  • Tailored Azure Solutions: Architect customised, cost-efficient Azure solutions that meet client needs, emphasising scalability and industry best practices.
  • Migration and Modernisation: Drive migration and modernisation efforts, enabling digital transformation while ensuring data security and uptime.
  • Risk Mitigation: Assess and mitigate risks related to third-party platforms, safeguarding project success.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process improvement, using Azure to digitise tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, translating project requirements into successful cloud applications.

Key Skills Required:

  • Azure Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in Azure cloud services with a deep understanding of Azure's ecosystem, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Active Directory, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IAC) Mastery: Proven experience in Infrastructure as Code (IAC) methodologies and tools, particularly with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Azure Bicep. Expertise in creating and managing infrastructure deployments as code for Azure environments.
  • Advanced Cloud Migrations: Extensive background in planning and executing complex cloud migrations, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and refactoring strategies on Azure. Proficiency in Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery.
  • Cloud Native Operations: Adept in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions on Azure, leveraging services like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Azure Logic Apps to develop scalable and resilient applications.
  • CI/CD and IAC Toolchain: Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) toolchains, utilizing tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, or Chef to automate application deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning on Azure.
  • Containerisation and Orchestration: Proficiency in containerisation technologies like Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes, particularly on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Ability to manage containerized workloads effectively.
  • Azure Identity & Security: In-depth knowledge of Azure Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Azure Security Centre to design and implement robust security and identity solutions in Azure environments.
  • Azure Advanced Services: Familiarity with other advanced Azure services, such as Azure Virtual Desktop (VDI), Windows 365, Azure Sentinel, Azure Firewall, and Azure Defender for Identity, to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Azure DevOps: Experience with Azure DevOps services, including Azure Boards, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, and Azure Test Plans, to facilitate efficient project management and software development workflows.
  • Technical Documentation: Strong skills in producing high-quality technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, implementation guides, and best practice recommendations, ensuring clear communication of technical concepts to stakeholders.

Salary & benefits:

  • Salary - 95,000-105,000 (DOE) + Bonus
