About UsWanderlands provides climate and sustainability consultancy services including carbon management to a range of corporate and commercial clients operating across diverse industry sectors.We're seeking an experienced Senior Climate and Carbon Management Consultant to join our Bristol office.This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious and growing team where you will take on a client-facing role, leading the delivery of high-quality technical services and sustainable solutions to support our clients on their Carbon Net Zero journey.Externally, you will be experienced with technical oversight, consultancy project delivery, and client account management relating to climate change, sustainability and carbon management.Internally, you will be responsible for the development, supervision and mentorship of a small team, including workload allocation and management, checking and reviewing technical outputs, and evaluating progress against client programmes and contracts.You will work closely with business leads to support the successful delivery of the goals and objectives of the business plan. This will include pursuing new business opportunities with clients across the construction, development, education, retail, financial and other industry sectors.About YouYou hold a relevant degree qualification in environmental sciences and are a Chartered member of a relevant industry professional institution.You have at least 5 years of practical and relevant consultancy experience working within a strong team dynamic.You have proven ability in a client-facing environment and can effectively communicate and understand client drivers and objectives, think strategically and creatively, whilst providing tailored advice to meet client needs for sustainable solutions.You are proven to develop new working relationships with clients, collaborative partners and key stakeholders.You will also have the following: -Detailed knowledge of UK environmental legislation and regulation.Knowledge and experience with carbon management and accounting methodologies and reporting principles.Experience developing GHG inventories (scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions) calculations and conversions aligned with industry best practices.Experience in carbon audit and footprint assessments for businesses, identification of technological and strategic GHG reduction opportunities in company operations and the value chain and developing these into strategic roadmaps and strategies for climate action.Experience supporting ongoing measurement, monitoring and reporting of GHG inventories and progress against targets (e.g. SBTi).Awareness and understanding of Sustainability/ESG and disclosure standards and guidance e.g. TCFD, SASB, TNFD, GRI, CRSD, ISSB.Knowledge and experience of data analytics and visualisation applications.Strong communication, interpersonal and client management skills.Excellent numeracy, written and presentation skills.Commercial awareness and experience in managing client contracts and commissions.Excellent team-working, and ability to contribute towards a positive team dynamicThis is an exciting and rewarding role for which we're offering the right candidate a competitive remuneration and benefits package within a flexible working structure.Please apply ##### contact Matt Whiston (#####) in the first instance for more information.
