It can get busy, but the culture, training and friendly teams are great here.What you'll be doingIn 2023, DLG spent c.£2 Billion on Motor claims. This important role is to help us understand, interpret and analyse this ongoing spend – the frequency of claims, the types of claims and the severity of claims. You will need to be good with numbers, but it’s more about what the numbers mean and how we can use data to drive business performance. Other duties include:Work with and develop sophisticated forecasting tools to model future trendsProduce analytical output, both written and oral, to explain and improve business performanceProvide expertise, data and analytics to successfully deliver on projects, both within Claims and the wider businessUse code and statistical techniques to interrogate data, identifying trends and improvement opportunities for key drivers across the business as well as producing forecasts for future performanceUsing your experience, both professionally and that gained away from the workplace, to help us be innovative, dynamic and continuously curiousFocus on costs, process improvements and efficiencies to contribute to the profitability of Direct Line GroupWhat we're looking forExperience in insurance and analytics is essential. You will have proficiency and confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders (CEO, CFO, SLT etc.) in addition to being numerate, curious and innovative.
