Responsible for the proactive handling ofclaims within authority for Cargo and Specie Classes.The key, but not exclusive responsibilities of this role are:Handling of claims arising from responsibleline of business from FNOL through to settlement.Ensuringall claims handling responsibilities adhere to procedures, controlsand regulatory requirements.Proactive monitoring of claimsto ensure early ‘best estimate’ reserves are in place and valid claimsare settled promptly.Assist Claims Management to provideClaims thought leadership and ‘lead indicator’ insights.Proactively achieve required claims team strategic objectivesand participate in business modernisation to transform current claimsproposition towards our vision for a TRUSTed, market-leading claimsservice proposition.The successfulcandidate will have:Extensive experience inhandling Marine, Cargo and/or Specie Claims.Strongrelationships with relevant experts, brokers and co-insurersCII or similar professional qualifications, or willingness towork towards this.
