Position: Senior Civil Engineer (Location: Warwick)
Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum + Profit share + Relocation assistance + AXA Healthcare + Free parking
We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Warwick. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality technical designs for projects encompassing highway and drainage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing comprehensive concept, preliminary, and detailed technical designs for projects requiring expertise in highway and drainage design.
Conducting various drainage calculations such as QBar, attenuation storage, and foul loads, as well as structural pavement designs for a range of surfaces.
Handling Developer Enquiries, Environment Agency product requests, and LLFA information requests related to drainage designs and flood risk assessments.
Preparing and submitting application forms for Drainage Authority and Planning Authority approval (S104, S106, S185), as well as Highway Authority approval (S184, S278, S38).
Producing reports including Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Flood Risk Assessments, and Drainage Strategy Reports.
Managing projects to ensure adherence to specified budgets and timelines.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications and Skills:
Proficiency in relevant software packages such as Micro Drainage (WinDes), Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
Recent experience in detailed design for various Civil Engineering projects including residential schemes, roads, drainage schemes, SuDS components, commercial schemes, car parks, and industrial works.
Familiarity with design guides including Sewers for Adoption, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), BS 7533, BRE Digest 365, and CIRIA C753 (SuDS Manual).
Understanding of Section 104, 106, and 185 Agreements for drainage schemes, as well as Section 38, 184, and 278 Agreements for highways/roads schemes.
Ability to interpret Ground Investigations, CCTV surveys, Topographical, and Services surveys.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Dedication to delivering high-quality work and upholding the company's reputation.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
Chartered, or working towards Chartership of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
Effective time management skills and ability to work to strict deadlines.
Capability to supervise junior staff and sub-consultants, and liaise with clients and other stakeholders collaboratively.
