The Role
The successful candidate will support the development and growth of our Kelvin Power Business Unit as an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to work within the Civil and Structural Engineering Department. We provide a wide range of engineering consultancy services on major infrastructure projects in the Energy Sector and have a strong team of experienced multi-disciplinary engineers and technicians delivering solutions to projects across the UK and ROI. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Producing calculations and drawings for civil and structural engineering works associated with complex large scale substation projects including earthworks, roads and drainage, plant structures, steel framed and masonry buildings, foundations and water retaining structures
Liaising closely in house and externally with clients, clients’ engineers, contractors, statutory bodies and work to agreed delivery programs
Review project files for compliance with Standards/protocols and implement best practice procedure
Qualifications and Experience
Academically qualified to BSc or MSc in civil engineering and working towards CEng MICE or MIStructE. Experience of design and analysis software using ROBOT/TEDDS/Civil 3D/Windes Microdrainage / Infodrainage. Minimum of five years post graduate experience. Experience of industrial and infrastructure projects. Excellent organisational skills. Knowledge of industry standards and ability to produce construction standard drawings using AutoCAD/Revit/Civil 3D. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
