An employee-owned trust multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy are actively looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to head up a small team from their Liverpool City Centre office.
The company have several UK offices (both England and Scotland) and operate across a number of disciplines. Their Liverpool office consists of a Civil Design team, a Structural Engineering team and a small team of Building Surveyors.
The company have an extremely secure and steady pipeline of work and are actively looking for someone who can help deliver work technically and also head up a small team of engineers. The ideal Civil Engineer will be Chartered with the ICE and will have at least 5+ years' experience in a similar consultancy-based role.
The current office numbers at 9 staff and you will be taking over from a departing team lead and inheriting a healthy pipeline of work across a wide variety of project sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Education and Insurance. Any clientele of your own would be a recognised and rewarded bonus.
Responsibilities of a Senior Civil Engineer:

• Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Provide technical expertise in civil engineering design, including the use of relevant software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and surveyors, to ensure seamless project coordination.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
• Conduct site visits and inspections, resolving engineering challenges and proposing innovative solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development and growth.
• Contribute to business development activities, including preparing proposals, attending client presentations, and identifying new opportunities.

Requirements of a Senior Civil Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional engineering license (e.g., Chartered Engineer status).
• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation).
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information.
• Proven leadership abilities and the capacity to lead and motivate project teams.
• A track record of delivering successful civil engineering projects.
• Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., Institution of Civil Engineers).
