Senior Category Manager





Can you lead category reviews, identify issues & develop recommendations to drive growth in line with strategies & objectives?





Do you have a robust view on sector, category & consumer trends and can identify future opportunities and gaps?





Are you highly analytical & able to distil large quantities of data, information & ideas into key insights & actionable recommendations?





Macgregor Black are partnering with a�leading food business�on the search for a�Senior Category Manager.�This is a permanent role based in�North Lincolnshire.





Key Responsibilities






  • Develop relationships with key buying, category and range contacts.

  • Assist in developing a 12-month category, innovation, and brand cycle aligned with customer planning processes to drive long-term category growth.

  • Merge shopper insights, market data, and retailer information for a comprehensive understanding and effective presentation of market and consumer dynamics.

  • Analyse category outcomes and recommend corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensure delivery of agreed reporting schedules to the retailer, including range review recommendations, range change reviews, and NPD performance tracking, aligning with retailer planning horizons.





What are we looking for?






  • Good communicator, trustworthy, friendly & professional with Commercial awareness

  • Experienced of in working in a commercial / category environment

  • Preferred experience with various data delivery platforms (Kantar, IRI, Nielsen) and to be self-sufficient for most day-to-day data mining & sourcing requirements.

  • Organisational skills; prioritisation & time management

  • Strong sense of team working, believes in winning as a team and creating a culture of best practice.

  • Flexible in the approach to workload.





Salary dependent on experience.
