Senior Case Officer

Job Description
This national regulator is looking to recruit a Senior Case Officer to undertake fitness to practise matters, support junior team members and protect title policies.
This is a varied and interesting role and carries a high degree of responsibility, working directly alongside the Head of Fitness to Practise. The role involves investigating and prosecuting cases in line with legislation, managing your own case load and instructing external counsel as needed. It will require a sound understanding and application of the relevant legislation and guidance in order to assess risk and provide advice.
The role is for a six month contract, starting in April/May, and offers hybrid working from their central London office.
Candidates should be legally qualified - solicitor, barrister or ILEX - and have previous experience of working within a regulator. They must be able to manage concerns and complaints from the public in a sensitive manner and undertake work on complex, high-profile cases. Candidates qualified outside of the UK will be considered if they are able to demonstrate experience gained within a similar role in a UK based regulator.
