Job DescriptionSenior C++ Engineer - £70,000-£75,000 Senior C++ Engineer required to join a UK leading software house based in Stockport. They are looking for someone who enjoys problems solving working on large scale complex applications. They are a very established business who invest heavily in their talent. There will be an option for this role (Not a requirement) to receive full training / coaching in the JavaScript stack as well using React, Node etc) Essential FunctionsDevelopment tasks for themselves and junior developers in their area ensure tickets are up to date within scrum boardsAll deliverables are met as per plans and specifications for the teamPeer reviews of other developers software to ensure all committed code meets development standardsTechnical designs to satisfy business requirementsTechnical improvements and quality of the products with the product manager and development manager to help drive the product roadmapEssential skillsStrong C++ SkillsJenkins or similar build toolsSolid understanding of API design using SOAP and RESTUnderstanding of networking conceptsCross platform environment - Windows, Linux, Web PlatformsDebugging and problem diagnosticsScalable real-time systemsGood understanding of source control systems especially GITGood understanding of automated testing techniquesDesirableRDBMS knowledge ideally Oracle and/or SQL ServerDocker and containersExperience using AWS or other cloud environmentsNice to HavesWeb development frameworks such as React and AngularPerl, Groovy or other scripting languagesJava (Full stack including Java Server)Click apply if interested!
